My Passion

I am hugely passionate about great food and how it can help us all to function optimally.  Learning to eat a healthy diet that can support us throughout the changes and challenges in our lives is hugely important and my aim is to support others through those changes and challenges, using great tasting, sustainable food as a starting base.  Food provides our body with the nutrition needed for every system to function well, but it also needs to be delicious and enjoyable too.

My Story

Having competed at an international level in sport (rowing) at a later stage in my life, I realised I could make a significant difference to my performance by how I fed my body, and this led me to want to learn more.  In 2009 I gained a Foundation Degree in Nutritional Therapy from the University of Bedfordshire, and in 2011 I qualified with an Honours degree at Middlesex University as a Registered Nutritionist.  Whilst studying part-time I continued to work as a food writer, writing over a dozen recipe books, some based around diets such as the Paleo Diet and more recently the ‘The Clever Guts Diet’ with Dr Michael Mosley.  In 2021 I gained an MSc in Sustainability, allowing me to explore more how we can feed ourselves in a sustainable as well as nutritious way.  Nutritional Therapy is much more than just healthy eating, it is based on scientific research into how our individual biochemistry works and my goal with every client is to the find the perfect diet and lifestyle to ensure they enjoy optimum health.

My areas of speciality include sports nutrition, especially supporting masters athletes, digestive and gut health, weight loss and the menopause.

How i offer psychotherapy

I work with clients across the UK, and around the world, using Skype, FaceTime & Zoom. There is no need to travel, and you can feel comfortable in your own home. It is free to set up and simple to use, so why not give it a try?
