Sometimes the wider health picture matters

Stress can affect sleep. Poor sleep can affect appetite and energy. Work pressure can change how we eat, move and recover. And physical health can influence how we feel emotionally.

That does not mean every emotional difficulty needs a physical-health intervention.

But for some people, looking after their wider health becomes an important part of feeling well and staying well.

At EmotionMatters, we can draw on expertise across therapy, health coaching, nutrition and the wider HealthMatters Group when that broader perspective would genuinely be useful.

Stress and recovery

Understanding how prolonged pressure affects sleep, energy, routines and everyday health.

Sleep and energy

Looking beyond simply ‘pushing through’ towards patterns that support better recovery and wellbeing.

Everyday habits matter

How we eat, move, rest and respond to pressure can all shape our longer-term health.

Looking further ahead

For some people, the goal is not treating illness but becoming more deliberate about protecting future health.

Which programme might be relevant?

Structured programmes, with the right level of support, for different goals and needs.

3-Month Longevity / Healthy Ageing Programme

For people who are generally well but want to take a more proactive approach to healthy ageing and their wider physical wellbeing.

The programme combines structured fasting-mimicking nutrition with support around nutrition and longer-term health, providing a defined starting point for people who want to become more intentional about looking after themselves.

Best suited to: people interested in healthy ageing, energy, resilience, nutrition and taking a more proactive approach to future health.

6-Month Metabolic Health Programme

For people whose wider health picture includes more established metabolic concerns and who would benefit from a longer, more structured approach.

The pathway combines fasting-mimicking cycles with nutrition support and appropriate monitoring, placing the intervention within the context of everyday health and lifestyle.

Best suited to: people looking for structured support around blood glucose, insulin resistance, appetite, central weight gain, energy or longer-term metabolic health.

More complex metabolic needs?

An Advanced 12-Month Metabolic Programme is also available through HealthMatters Group for eligible clients who require a longer and more clinically monitored pathway.

Physical health is part of the wider picture

L-Nutra Health brings the fasting-mimicking nutrition technology and structured programme framework.

EmotionMatters brings more than 20 years of experience understanding the psychological and behavioural patterns that shape how people live –  including stress, sleep, coping, eating behaviour, motivation and the pressures of everyday life.

Together, the aim is not to turn a physical-health programme into a mental-health treatment.

It is to recognise that lasting wellbeing is influenced by both – and to help selected clients place a structured health intervention within the context of their wider life.

Start with the person, not the programme

There is no assumption that everybody coming to EmotionMatters should consider a fasting-mimicking programme. The first question is whether it fits your wider health goals.

1

Understand what you want to change

Are you primarily focused on emotional wellbeing, stress and resilience – or are physical health, energy, nutrition and future health becoming part of the picture too?

2

Check suitability

Your health history, medications, BMI, eating history and current physical health all help determine whether fasting-mimicking nutrition may be appropriate.

3

Select the appropriate pathway

Where suitable, we help identify the programme and level of nutrition or clinical support that best fits your needs.

4

Support what happens beyond the programme

Health coaching, nutrition or wider clinical support can be brought in where useful to help translate intentions into sustainable everyday change.

The programme needs to fit the person

Fasting-mimicking programmes are not suitable for everyone.

Medical history, medications, BMI, current physical health and a current or previous eating disorder or significant disordered eating can all affect whether a programme is appropriate.

That is why suitability is considered before a programme begins, with further clinical review arranged where required.

These programmes are designed to support metabolic health and healthy ageing. They are not treatments for anxiety, depression, burnout or other mental-health conditions.
